Team Up to Save Lives
February 1, 2009 (Port Washington, NY) – North Shore Animal League America, the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization, has teamed up with renowned dog expert Cesar Millan’s new online dog coaching course, Sessions with Cesar, to create a partnership to decrease relinquishments, increase adoptions and benefit the rescue and shelter community.
As a first step, North Shore Animal League America and Sessions with Cesar are working to broaden the reach and awareness of each to encourage people to save lives and rescue dogs. This initiative will comprise many components, such as online content, promotions, education and events targeting adults and children, including Cesar Millan being the spokesperson for NSALA’s Pet Adoptathon 2009 event May 2nd and 3rd.
As a key part of this partnership, the team behind the successful Sessions with Cesar online coaching course for dog owners will work together with North Shore Animal League to create a three step system around the course, designed to meet the unique needs of shelter and rescue groups. Various behavioral issues will be addressed to reduce pet relinquishments, better prepare dogs for adoption and ensure smooth transition from shelter to permanent homes followed by the coaching support the course can then provide the new dog owners.
